Kevis Extra Strength Hair and Scalp Lotion is a topical lotion that is rubbed into the scalp when the hair is damp. Concentration should be made on the thinning areas of the scalp to promote follicular rejuvenation. Along with containing carbohydrates and proteins to help increase circulation of the scalp, Kevis Extra Strength Hair and Scalp Lotion also contains the patented ingredient HUCP which supposedly fights the hormone DHT which is the leading cause of hair loss.
How to use it
Kevis Extra Strength Hair and Scalp Lotion comes in 12 individually packaged glass vials containing a predetermined amount of the product. Directions for use are as follows:
Remove lotion vial from tray and pull away yellow cap.
· Attach applicator to vial opening.
· Apply Kevis Extra Strength Hair and Scalp Lotion evenly to surface of scalp and gently move through hair using finger tips.
· Gently massage scalp for 2 minutes.
· Hair products such as hair gels, mousses, or sprays may be used in their usual manner following application of Kevis Extra Strength Hair and Scalp Lotion.
The product promises a warm tingling feeling with the first use which is an indication of scalp stimulation. While it all sounds great, there is no mention of when your new hair sprouts will appear.
Dihydrotestosterone or DHT enters hair follicles through the bloodstream and clogs the follicles preventing them from receiving adequate nutrition and respiration. This results in follicular dormancy or even death. To put it plainly, DHT causes the loss of hair and the subsequent inability to grow hair.
The Kevis system is designed to run the course of a year –with further evaluation after that- and uses its patented HUCP to combat the production of DHT. The main ingredient in the Kevis Extra Strength Hair and Scalp Lotion is hyaluronic acid which is known for promoting strength and fortitude at the cellular level. HUCP is a highly weighted molecular version of hyaluronic acid and when applied topically to the scalp the HUCP penetrates deep into the hair follicle receptor sites where DHT usually attaches itself. By doing so, the DHT is supposedly “blocked” from entering the follicle receptor and thus cannot choke off and kill the hair. After the first year a consultation with a Kevis “specialist” is recommended.
The product is said to have no bias about gender, race or age and has been proven effective for both men and women alike. While the web site says that the product needs to be used for a year, there is no mention to how effective the product will be. While the Kevis Extra Strength Hair and Scalp Lotion is the flagship product of Kevis, the company has other products that when used in conjunction with Kevis Extra Strength Hair and Scalp Lotion are said to make the results “more effective.” Finally the truth comes out. Like so many other hair loss products on the market today it seems to be more about packaging all their products as opposed to helping solve the hair loss problem.
Kevis Extra Strength Hair and Scalp Lotion says it tackles the leading cause of hair loss; DHT. But the product needs to be used for a year and there is no guarantee of results. In fact the only thing they tell you on the web site is that after one year you will need to consult with a Kevis specialist. Probably so that “specialist” can remind you that you didn’t use the full line of Kevis products for full effectiveness.
